2. Description and Terms of Use for Hosting Services
2.1 Hostlim utilizes infrastructures, including data centers, electronic equipment, network connectivity, and management software, for the provision of hosting services. These infrastructures and equipment are provided by third-party suppliers of Hostlim in Europe, with whom we have contracts.
Customers have access to and use our infrastructures through our website at https://hostlim.com, over the Internet, through their subscriptions to website and application hosting services. With these subscriptions, customers can send, store, and upload the necessary data for the operation and communication of their websites or for lawful personal use.
The web servers of Hostlim distribute customer data over the Internet for display purposes, such as websites, audiovisual material, electronic documents, order forms, email correspondence, and more. The transmission of data occurs using established Internet Protocols, such as TCP, IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SSH, and Email.
Customer data may be accessible from their personal computers or intended for specific recipients. Some data may be confidential and protected by passwords or stored in non-public locations within Hostlim’s equipment, such as backup servers.
2.2 Description of Shared Hosting Services
2.2.1 Shared hosting (also known as Web hosting, WordPress Hosting, WooCommerce Hosting) refers to the hosting of multiple websites on a shared server. The server’s resources, such as processing power (CPU, cores), memory (RAM, swap), hard drives (storage space, I/O), data traffic (traffic), and Web/Mail/FTP/mySQL servers, are shared among all the websites to function harmoniously on the same physical server. The terms of use that apply to Shared Web Hosting also apply to Semi-Dedicated Hosting, except for the server resources provided with the packages.
2.2.2 Hostlim has the necessary infrastructure to provide hosting packages with independent data traffic for websites with low demands, ensuring smooth operation. This means that there are no usual restrictive limits on traffic imposed on Shared hosting.
However, the concept of “unmetered” resources does not imply unlimited resources but rather that traffic is not precisely measured and not limited to small thresholds. Nevertheless, the resource usage by each domain should be similar to 99% of the websites on our shared hosting. Exceeding the average usage is allowed, but stability and service quality for our other customers must be maintained.
2.2.3 The shared hosting service adequately caters to the operational needs of small websites, such as small businesses, freelancers, bloggers, and similar cases. However, shared hosting is not suitable for e-commerce stores, news sites, high-traffic blogs and forums with dozens/hundreds of concurrent visitors, as these require high disk space, CPU, RAM, and I/O usage.
2.2.4 The Acceptable Use Policy aims to avoid network congestion and protect the quality of Shared Hosting service. Each Shared hosting package/plan has maximum usage limits, which are specified in each Shared hosting package/plan. By using the service, the customer agrees to abide by these maximum usage limits.
2.2.5 Maximum Allowable Limits
The maximum usage parameters defined in website hosting packages/plans are as follows:
a) Standard Performance:
- CPU core usage: 50%
- Total RAM: 1024MB (continuous for 20″)
- I/O Limit: 5~6 MB/sec
- Maximum Data Transfer: Απεριόριστα
b) Advanced Performance:
- CPU core: 1 Core
- Total RAM: 2048MB (continuous for 20″)
- I/O Limit: 7~8 MB/sec
- Maximum Data Transfer: Απεριόριστα
c) High Performance:
- CPU core: 2 Cores
- Total RAM: 3072MB (continuous for 20″)
- I/O Limit: 9~10 MB/sec
- Maximum Data Transfer: Απεριόριστα
2.2.5 If Hostlim identifies that a domain has reached the maximum server resource usage limits or negatively impacts the machine’s performance, the customer will be promptly notified about the issue, and collaboration will be sought to find a solution. In case the specific domain causes problems, Hostlim will disable the functions causing overload (such as HTTP, email, PHP script, MySQL, or even the entire domain) and inform the customer about the source of the problem, proposing corresponding fixes. Additionally, the customer has the option to acquire a Semi-Dedicated or Dedicated Server from Hostlim to immediately transfer their website and restore its full functionality.
2.2.6 Hostlim provides the customer with access to the control panel of their hosting services (known as the Plesk Panel) and corresponding usage guides.
2.3 Prohibited Uses and Content in Shared Hosting

If Hostlim becomes aware of a violation of the terms of use of the website, either through random checks or through reports or complaints from third parties, it reserves the right to take immediate, temporary, or permanent measures, including disabling or deleting the illegal content or even the website itself that hosts it. This action will last until the problem is resolved, if feasible, or until a complete investigation of the incident is conducted. Furthermore, in cases where criminal activity is observed or damage is caused to the company, a report will be made to the competent authorities and/or legal advisors.
2.4 Open Source Applications
2.4.1 Hostlim provides pre-installed open-source applications (such as Joomla, WordPress, phpBB, etc.) through Plesk, “as is,” and does not provide technical support for them or offer training on their usage. These applications come from third-party developers and not from Hostlim. Hostlim will attempt to assist in resolving any issues that customers may encounter with these applications. However, Hostlim is not responsible for any operational problems with the scripts contained in the pre-installed applications unless they are proven to be caused by issues with the servers, Plesk, the structure or configuration of domain files, or general server settings.
2.4.2 The customer is responsible for installing and configuring the applications themselves, regularly checking for new updates to their code, and promptly upgrading all third-party applications they have installed on their domain, such as WordPress, Joomla, etc., to the latest versions. It is recommended that customers subscribe to newsletters from companies or online communities supporting these web applications to receive immediate notifications when new releases are available.
2.4.3 Open-source web applications (such as Joomla, WordPress, etc.) or proprietary web applications that have not been updated and contain critical security vulnerabilities may be disabled at the discretion of the company until the customer performs the upgrade to the latest version and/or closes the security gaps. If the customer is unable to perform the upgrade, Hostlim may execute it on their behalf for a fee, based on the Web Hosting or Semi Dedicated-Hosting price list, as applicable. When an application is found to contain infected or malicious files, it will be disabled by Hostlim’s staff, and the customer will be notified via email to take the necessary actions for cleaning and restoring their application.
2.5 Backup
2.5.1 Hostlim bears no responsibility or obligation for compensation for any loss, damage, or moral harm arising from the non-provision of services, failure to provide backups of customer files, or failure to provide technical support in related matters. By unconditionally accepting this agreement and continuing to use Hostlim’s services, the customer agrees not to make claims beyond the actions specifically provided by Hostlim: the recovery of customer data backups (if available), technical support, and any efforts towards immediate restoration of any malfunctions that may occur for any reason.
2.5.2 Customers acknowledge and agree that they should not solely or primarily rely on Hostlim for creating backups of their files, nor should they demand or require Hostlim to restore recent or older backups of their files. Hostlim explicitly waives any liability regarding the acquisition, storage, or retrieval of customer data backups. The responsibility for maintaining an updated backup copy of the data rests solely with the customer.
2.5.3 Hostlim maintains backups of Shared Hosting servers. The frequency of backup copies taken by Hostlim for Shared Hosting is daily, with the ability to retrieve backups for up to 7 preceding days. Additionally, if a mySQL database has been damaged (such as corrupted tables), it may not be included in the backup until it is restored (either by the customer or by Hostlim’s automatic mySQL database repair tools).
2.5.4 Customers have the option to create their own backup copy of their domain (files, databases, emails) through Plesk (manually or using the Scheduled Backup feature) and download it to their computer or use it on the same day. Backup files created by customers through Plesk (manually or using the Scheduled Backup feature) remain in the system until the end of the day and are then automatically deleted. The Scheduled Backup feature of Plesk creates backups only for the same day and not for future dates.
2.5.5 In the event that a customer’s account has been suspended for more than 7 days, a request can be made to restore the files of the package. This restoration is performed according to the Web Hosting price list, including the cost of the hosting subscription for one month. However, restoration is only possible if a backup copy of the account is available. For accounts that have been deleted from Hostlim’s servers due to the expiration of the subscription, there is no possibility of file restoration. The company bears no responsibility for the files and emails of the customer that are deleted due to the expiration of their subscription.
2.6 Email Sending
2.6.1 The customer is required to use Hostlim’s email servers for sending and receiving their email messages, following the usage instructions provided to them at the start of their hosting service. Additionally, the customer must use strong passwords for their email accounts and regularly check the spam filter provided through the hosting control panel (Plesk).
2.6.2 Mass sending of informational or promotional emails is strictly prohibited in shared hosting. If a customer wishes to frequently send mass emails to hundreds or thousands of recipients who have given their consent to receive such messages and have the option to unsubscribe from the mailing list, they may choose one of the specialized newsletter sending services provided by third parties, such as MailChimp, SendInBlue, Zoho, Campayn, etc. These services allow for mass email sending and provide additional features for managing recipient lists, customizing messages, and reporting delivery statistics.
2.7 Service Security
The company performs daily and extensive scans of its servers using various antivirus software to detect malicious files. If a domain is compromised due to security vulnerabilities or weak passwords in a web application, and if malicious programs (viruses, malware) or deceptive websites (phishing sites) are detected, or if it causes spam/DDoS attacks on other websites (due to the presence of malicious/vulnerable files), the affected domain will be immediately disabled by Hostlim to cease any malicious activity. Efforts are made for automatic cleaning of infected files, and if not possible, they are placed in quarantine. Our administrators are informed of the list of detected infected files, their impact, and vulnerable domains are deactivated.
2.8 Website Transfer Terms to Hostlim
For the transfer of websites to all types of hosting, the following general terms apply:
- In the customer’s new hosting package, they can transfer their emails using the Mail Importing tool in the Plesk Panel.
- In the customer’s new hosting package, they can transfer their website using the Website Importing tool in the Plesk Panel.
- The versions of the MySQL database and the PHP programming language must be the same.
- The customer or their developer must check and resolve any issues that arise after the transfer.
- The customer must not cancel or let their package expire with the previous hosting provider until they complete the transfer.
2.9 Obligations
2.9.1 Hostlim’s Obligations
Hostlim is not responsible for the customer’s provided service and products. It is not responsible for the content, quality, completeness, presentation, timeliness, accuracy, legality, innocence, and general compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Hostlim is not responsible for the rejection, alteration, loss, delay, variation, transmission, or delivery of any type of data or information. It is also not liable for any interruption, restriction, or exclusion of access to the service, whether for reasons related to Hostlim or reasons unrelated to it, even if Hostlim was informed of the possibility of such damages. It is not responsible for the violation of laws regarding intellectual property, privacy, public order, and good morals that may be caused by customers or third parties through the service.
Hostlim is not liable for any failure, delay, or interruption in the performance of its obligations due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, wars, strikes, riots, terrorism, disruptions, epidemics, labor disturbances, energy price instability, equipment instability, legislative or regulatory changes, fires, floods, earthquakes, inclement weather, transport deficiencies, or inadequate access to telecommunications services. Finally, Hostlim does not guarantee the continuous, secure operation of its network and services and is not liable for any loss, damage, or moral harm arising from these upgrades, as well as from the customer’s inability or unwillingness to adapt their websites to the upgraded versions of software, web applications, and programming languages installed on Hostlim servers. The customer acknowledges and accepts that the Internet cannot always operate without interruptions or errors.
2.9.2 Customer Obligations
Access to Hostlim’s system, registration, or any other use of the services provided by Hostlim by the subscriber or other individuals with access, registration, or usage requires accurate, truthful, and complete information regarding registration, including information about website ownership, domain names, and accounts. Providing false or inaccurate information may result in the cancellation of registration, orders, and activated services by the company.
The customer is obligated to comply with and fully accept the following terms of use:
- The customer must confirm that the material stored on Hostlim’s servers is free from electronic viruses and security vulnerabilities and does not require additional processing by Hostlim for the operation of the material.
- The customer is obligated to provide all the necessary information for their orders and to update it if it changes (especially address, telephone, email address). Otherwise, the Company is not responsible for any service expiration (domain, hosting, SSL) and data loss.
- The customer is responsible for the legality of the material hosted on Hostlim’s servers and does not violate any international or domestic legislation or third-party intellectual property rights.
- Familiarizing and learning the functions of various tools and programs (e.g., Plesk Panel, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, FTP programs, Joomla, WordPress, etc.) is the exclusive responsibility and obligation of the customer.
- If the customer does not assign additional programming work to Hostlim, the customer must possess the necessary knowledge to construct and publish their websites on the Internet. Hostlim is not responsible for providing such knowledge to the customer, except in cases where support and advice are provided exceptionally.
- For successful initiation and operation, the customer must familiarize themselves with the operations of Hostlim’s websites and the services of website hosting and domain names. The customer must carefully read each email with usage instructions and follow them precisely.
- The customer may use Hostlim’s services for the construction, maintenance, security, management, renewal, and promotion of their website within the provided hosting space, subject to additional costs that are charged separately following consultation and agreement.
- The customer is solely responsible for the selection and use of usernames and passwords. The customer must maintain the confidentiality of their passwords and not disclose them to third parties. In the event of loss, leakage, or theft of passwords managed by the service provider, Hostlim bears no responsibility, and the customer is fully responsible for their deactivation. Additionally, the customer is responsible for restoring any damage that may arise from such instances to Hostlim or third parties.
- The customer is responsible for updating the passwords of their websites to be compatible with Hostlim’s servers.
- The customer is responsible for creating and storing backups of their websites outside of Hostlim’s servers before maintenance, upgrades, or equipment changes performed by Hostlim.
- The customer is responsible for verifying the proper functioning of their websites after maintenance, upgrades, or equipment changes carried out by Hostlim.
- The customer is responsible for regularly monitoring the overall usage of their disk space and domain traffic, especially for files that consume more space. The customer should detect and address sudden or unexplained increases in disk space or data traffic on their website.
- The customer is responsible for optimizing their MySQL databases and keeping them at a small size. Additionally, they should create simple and concise queries (MySQL queries) for optimal server and website performance.
- Depending on the type of hosting chosen by the customer (Shared/Wordpress/Woocommerce/Semi Dedicated Hosting), they unreservedly accept and agree to the specific terms governing each type of hosting (Shared/Reseller/VPS/Semi Dedicated Hosting) described on Hostlim’s website.
- Users of Hostlim’s services are obliged to respect all the rules of Greek and international law, as well as rules of courtesy, discretion, and appropriate behavior. The hostlim.com website reserves the right to exclude users who violate the terms of use.
- The customer waives any future claims or actions they could file against the Company due to their activities or the content transmitted through the Company’s services. Additionally, the customer agrees to defend the Company in any judicial or administrative proceedings related to their actions or the violation of third-party rights and fully indemnify the Company for any expenses incurred (legal costs, third-party fees, etc.).
- Hostlim is not responsible for determining the ownership of the websites hosted on accounts opened with Hostlim or for determining the ownership of domain names registered through Hostlim.
- Hostlim does not control the content of the information passing through its servers and does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any presentations appearing on the internet through its services.
- Furthermore, Hostlim does not guarantee the commercial or personal reliability of any entities presented on the network or the fulfillment of any specific promises/offers made by third parties. It is not liable for any damages that may occur to the customer or other individuals transacting with them, including data loss, delays, non-delivery of goods, or service interruptions for any reason, error, or omission.
- Additionally, it is not liable for any damages caused by network or system unavailability and does not guarantee the continuous and uninterrupted operation of servers and networks it uses, due to the characteristics of the Internet and information distribution networks. Under any circumstances, it is not liable for any damages arising from the use, availability, or unavailability of the provided services.
- Hostlim makes significant efforts to maintain accurate and up-to-date information and price lists on its website. However, it does not guarantee the accuracy, validity, and completeness of the published content and is not responsible for incorrect, out-of-date, or inaccurate information and any errors in price lists and charges that may arise from them. The Company is committed to promptly rectify any errors discovered on its website, and if the customer identifies any mistakes, they must immediately report them to the Company for correction.
- According to Articles 11, 12, 13, and 14 of Presidential Decree 131/2003, Hostlim does not have a general obligation to monitor the information transmitted or stored by customers on its servers, nor actively seek illegal activities or events. Furthermore, Hostlim is not liable as a service provider for the information stored and transmitted through its electronic systems, following a request from the recipient of the service.
3. Domain Names
3.1 The customer/user and/or the future owner of domain names must read, understand, and agree to the Rules for the Management and Assignment of Domain Names and all their modifications. You can find the list of Regulatory Texts for .GR domains at the following address: [link to regulations list]
On the EETT website (http://www.eett.gr), you can find all the regulatory texts for .GR domain names and any modifications.
Regulatory Texts for .EU domains: [link to .EU domains regulations] Regulatory Texts for gTLDs (.com, .net, etc.): [link to gTLDs regulations] Rights and obligations of registrants: [link to registrants’ rights]
3.2 The Company bears no responsibility if the customer registers a domain name in their own name or with incorrect information instead of their personal details, on behalf and upon the instructions of which the registration was made. Before submitting an application for domain name registration, the customer is warned with a visible notification window regarding the information they provide on the order submission page. If the domain name has a .GR extension, the customer must pay the relevant amount for the transfer of the domain name to the actual owner and submit a transfer request through our website. For .COM domains, the customer simply needs to change the contact person to the new owner and confirm the details of the new owner through a verification link sent to the new owner’s email address. For .EU domains, changing the contact person through the website https://my.hostlim.com/?language=greek is sufficient.
The Company bears no responsibility if a domain of an unpaid order is registered by a third party before our customer informs us of their payment at a bank (in the case of payment by card, the assignment is immediate). If such a situation occurs, the customer can search for and register another domain. The Company completes the registration only after the payment confirmation by the company’s accounting department. If the customer wishes to have their domains registered and activated immediately, they must choose payment by credit card or cash to hostlim.com.
The user of the service and/or the future owner of domain names must read, understand, and agree to the Rules for the Management and Assignment of Domain Names and all their modifications. You can find a list of Regulatory Texts at the following address: http://www.eett.gr/opencms/opencms/EETT/Electronic_Communications/DomainNames/Regulations.html. Additionally, you can find all the regulatory texts for .GR domain names and any modifications on the EETT website at http://www.eett.gr. For information regarding .EU domain names, you can visit http://www.eurid.eu/en/faq, and for the registration policy of .EU domains, you can refer to the following document: http://www.eurid.eu/files/docs/new/reg_pol_EL.pdf.
Hostlim is not responsible if the domain selected by the user of the service has been registered by someone else before or after their order, until Hostlim completes the registration after the user’s payment is confirmed.
The registration of domain names, except for .GR domains, is not completed until the payment of the user of the service is confirmed by Hostlim’s accounting department. The confirmation by the accounting department takes place within 1-2 business days from the date of deposit. If the user wishes to register and activate their domains immediately, they must choose payment by credit card, PayPal, or Viva Wallet on Hostlim.
3.3 Online Domain Management System
The source code of the application for ordering and managing services (such as online domain registrations, etc.) is the intellectual property of Hostlim. It has been tested for proper functioning and transaction security and is provided publicly to improve customer service. The source code is periodically upgraded with new features and bug fixes. Nevertheless, the application is provided “as is,” and Hostlim is not responsible for any omissions, errors, damages, or data loss that may occur due to errors in the code or problems with the equipment or networks through which the data is transmitted.
The Company bears no responsibility if, for any reason (technical or otherwise), the online domain management system is not available for a certain period or if an application for domain name registration or renewal is not correctly, timely, or at all transmitted to the respective Name Registry. In such cases, the customer is not entitled to claim any material or other compensation from the Company, other than the refund of the unfulfilled order.
If the customer encounters problems during their login to the system or identifies any errors or security vulnerabilities in the code (bugs), they must promptly report the issues or questions to our support at support@hostlim.com. Malicious or illegal use of the system by users may lead to the detection of such activities, and in such cases, all legal measures will be taken by the legal department of the company for civil and criminal prosecution of the responsible parties and inaccurate violations against Hostlim and its customers.
The authorization code for each domain is available to the owner/administrator at any time through our website, where they can request it to be sent to their email address.
3.4 Expired Domain Quarantine Period
When a domain name reaches its expiration date, it enters a Quarantine period. During this period, the domain name is deactivated and can only be renewed by its rightful owner.
The user of the service explicitly agrees that the .de domain will be deleted after its expiration date.
3.5 Special Terms for Domain Renewal:
For domain names such as .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, etc., that have been renewed within 45 days at their current registrar, no additional renewal for an additional year is provided upon their transfer to hostlim.com, as stipulated. Since the commands for all these TLDs are executed through the API provided by the intermediary registrar and not through a direct connection to the International Registry, the user must check at least 24 hours after the transaction using the official international WHOIS tool to confirm the matching of hostlim.com’s details with the international Domain Name Distribution authority (ICANN). In the case of any discrepancy, the user must immediately contact the company for resolution and correction.
Note: Hostlim strives to always stay updated and aligned with the expiration dates of the respective TLDs with the International Registry. However, this is not binding as Registries often change their rules. The customer must check the terms of each Registry for the domain they hold and collaborate with Hostlim for any clarification or discrepancy.
4. Technical Support
Technical Support refers to the assistance provided to customers in case of malfunction or unexpected behavior in the Company’s services. It does not include the provision of free technical expertise in website construction/maintenance, internet programming, or computer software usage.
Procedure
a) Before contacting the Company for technical support, customers should check the following sources of direct support:
Hostlim Knowledge Base: https://my.hostlim.com/knowledgebase
Frequently Asked Questions: https://hostlim.com/faq
Internet Terminology Glossary: https://hostlim.com/goi
b) If the customer cannot find the answer or solution to their question, they should submit a support request by sending an email to support@hostlim.com or using the page https://my.hostlim.com/submitticket.php, or through the live chat tool on the Company’s website.
The request will be examined by our technical staff, and an economic offer and timetable for completing the relevant tasks will be sent. Upon payment of the respective charge, based on the timetable, the tasks will be completed.
5. Payments for Services
5.1 Registration/renewal/transfer of domain names and ordering hosting packages or other services with payment via credit card are processed in real-time. There is no significant delay for domain name registration or hosting package activation, except in extreme cases such as communication problems between the Company and the banking institution for card charging, insufficient funding on the customer’s card, incorrect entry of card details, etc.
The Company is not responsible if the customer’s card cannot be charged at the time of the order or later, resulting in a delay in submitting the request for domain name registration or renewal. In such cases, the customer is not entitled to claim compensation or other claims from the Company. Additionally, the customer must be the cardholder or have the legal authorization to use the card for internet transactions.
In case of insufficient balance on the customer’s card during the attempt to charge the amount for hosting subscription renewal, the services will be suspended the next day after the renewal date of the contract. The customer can inform the Company when the required balance is available on the card so that the charge can be retried. Alternatively, the customer can settle the outstanding amount through alternative means after contacting the Company.
5.2 In addition to payment by credit card, Hostlim provides the option to settle orders through bank deposit or transfer via Internet/Phone/Mobile Banking. Currently, no other payment methods or credits are offered.
5.3 The fees for the Company’s services are prepaid in cash, bank transfer, or with a credit/debit card certified in the Euro currency, according to the applicable price lists announced on the Company’s website. Charges for additional services are incurred at the time they are requested, based on the current price list and the type of service.
5.4 For payments made with a credit card, the customer agrees that their card will be automatically charged every month (or according to the hosting subscription renewal cycle for their domain). Hostlim has the right to collect the corresponding amount on a predetermined date each month (or a similar regular time interval: 6, 9, or 12 months, etc.).
5.5 If the customer (end-user or reseller/owner of Dedicated services) does not wish to continue the prepaid services provided by the Company, they can request the cancellation/termination of services via email to support@hostlim.com. No monetary amount is refunded upon service cancellation. The Company reserves the right to deny any credit to the customer’s account at its discretion.
5.6 The Company is not responsible for any taxes or fees that need to be paid in any country according to the tax legislation, concerning transactions made by the customer through the provided server. The customer bears full responsibility for paying taxes, fees, or any charges related to the use of the server, products, or services offered or transactions made.
5.7 The Company reserves the right to conduct checks on the origin of a received payment if there are suspicions or reasonable grounds for fraudulent or deceptive practices aimed at providing services that may be associated with illegal or criminal activities. As a result of these checks, the Company may decide not to immediately provide services to the customer until the required checks are completed or to cancel or not provide services to the customer at all and return the amount to a legal bank account of the customer.
5.8 Refunds
5.8.1 In the event that the customer is not satisfied with the Shared Web Hosting services provided by Hostlim, they have the right to request a refund of the amount paid within 30 days from the purchase of the package. If no refund request is submitted within this timeframe, it will be considered that the customer agrees to continue the provision of the service and waives the right to a refund. The 30-day window applies only to the first hosting package purchased from Hostlim and not to additional packages purchased at a later time.
If the customer wishes to receive a refund, they must contact Hostlim via email at support@hostlim.com and state the reason for their dissatisfaction with the services. Hostlim will examine the complaint and verify its validity before proceeding with any refund.
If Hostlim determines that the customer has not received satisfactory services or support, or that the provided service is not suitable for them, it reserves the right to refund the amount paid after deducting the financial resources used for the purchase of related services (such as domain name registration, SSL purchase, IP, etc.) during the subscription to Hostlim’s services. Additionally, any expenses related to the transaction, such as bank commissions for card charges, will be refunded.
The money-back guarantee does not apply to hosting packages that hosted websites related to the country’s political life during election periods.
5.8.2 All refunds from the Company to the Customer are processed within 15 working days from the date of informing the Customer about the start of this process, and the Customer is notified via email from info@hostlim.com on the next working day after the completion of this process.
5.8.3 Any written objection, complaint, or claim by the Customer regarding the refund – which has already been agreed upon between the contracting parties – submitted by the Customer to any Public Administrative Authority of the Hellenic State during the aforementioned 15 working day period, will be considered by the Company as malicious, defamatory, and slanderous.
In such a case, the Company reserves all legal rights to protect its reputation and integrity from such damaging and malicious practices intended to harm the Company’s credibility and reliability. Any violation of the terms stated herein is deemed capable of leading to the non-refund of any amount to the Customer, either in cash or as a credit.
5.8.4 No refunds are provided after the approval of a domain application.
5.8.5 The money-back guarantee for Web Hosting (Shared) is valid for the first 30 days of service usage and applies only to the first (1st) hosting package purchased by the customer (see 5.8.1 Money-Back Guarantee) from Hostlim, thus extending the consumer’s right of withdrawal in favor of the customer.
No refunds are provided after payment for renewal or upgrade of any hosting package.
There is no option to change the billing cycle to a shorter period (e.g., from yearly to monthly or semi-annually) and receive a cash refund after payment for the purchase, renewal, or upgrade of any hosting package. Administrative costs (balance calculation, invoice cancellation and reissuance, transaction search, refund cancellation, accounting updates, etc.) involved in this process make refunds prohibitive. The exception is an insurmountable problem with the service that prevents the customer from using it, in which case a full transaction and invoice cancellation is made, and the amount is refunded to the original payment method.
5.8.6 The consumer’s right of withdrawal within 14 days from the distance contract for the provision of services with Hostlim does not apply when:
- the service has been delivered to the customer,
- it concerns work that has already been performed,
- it is software that has been downloaded or activated,
- there is any other obstacle based on consumer law that no longer grants the right of withdrawal or refund within 14 days.
Hostlim fulfills the order for the services requested by the customer, ensuring explicit consent from the consumer and their acknowledgment that they will lose their right of withdrawal as soon as the contract is fully executed by the Company, as ordered by the customer through the Company’s website.
No refunds or credits are provided to the customer’s account following the cancellation or non-use – for any reason – of a prepaid and already activated Semi-Dedicated Hosting subscription. Fees for Dedicated server rentals, regardless of whether they have been delivered to the customer or not, are non-refundable, either partially or in full.
5.9 Subscription Renewals
Subscriptions for web hosting services are automatically renewed based on the current price in the price list during the renewal period. If the customer makes the payment for the renewal outside the deadline, their subscription will be renewed from the day after the expiration date and not from the payment date. If the customer does not wish to continue the collaboration with the Company, they must inform the Company via email 10 days prior to the expiration date.
The customer must send the payment receipt for the subscription renewal to the Company via email to info@hostlim.com if requested by the company. The notification/receipt must clearly state the domain name, the type of service, and the customer’s details.
The customer is regularly notified via email about the upcoming expiration of their domain name. The customer must keep their account information and contact details related to domain names updated, and the Company is not responsible for the non-receipt of domain expiration notifications by the customer.
If the customer does not wish to continue using and renewing the hosting services, they must notify the Company in a timely manner, at least 10 days (for shared/semi-dedicated hosting) before the expiration/renewal date of the subscription via email to info@hostlim.com. If we do not receive timely notification and the services are renewed and charged to the customer’s card, the Company has the right to refuse a full or partial refund to the customer’s card.
5.10 Offers
Offers for services and products from Hostlim are subject to the terms of each offer, and Hostlim reserves the right not to provide the offer if the customer does not comply with the terms.
In case the cost of a service (such as a domain name, SSL, or dedicated server) increases due to the supplier of the company (such as the domain name registry or SSL issuing authority) or due to a sudden and significant change in the currency exchange rate with which the Company procures the service, the Company reserves the right to cancel the order and inform the customer about the price increase. In this case, the customer has the option to re-submit the order with the revised cost or to order a similar service at a price close to the previous one. If the customer does not wish to cancel the order, the Company may require the customer to cover the additional cost of the service if canceling the order with the supplier is no longer possible.
Hostlim reserves the right to change prices for all its services and products without prior notice at any time.
5.11 Invoicing
The company issues and sends legally valid electronic fiscal documents (invoices) via email to the customer. The invoices are issued based on the customer’s order from their account management of the services.
If the customer of Hostlim requests the invoicing of a third party (individual or legal entity, friend, collaborator, or customer) for a service (such as a hosting package or domain name), the following applies: (a) the payment for the service must be made by the person to be invoiced, and (b) if the third party requests access to the management of the specific services for which the invoicing is done, Hostlim will provide the necessary information for managing those services after confirming the details of the third party (such as identification, responsible declaration, or company statutes), without informing the customer who requested the invoicing for these services.

6.2 This agreement may be terminated by either party without cause. The Company is not obligated to refund any amount for the remaining period from the day of termination until the normal expiration of the contract unless the termination is requested by the customer for personal reasons or if the agreement is terminated by the Company due to a violation of the terms by the Customer. The Company reserves the right to refuse, terminate, or suspend the services provided to the Customer during the contract at its discretion and will not be held liable for any consequences, positive or negative, resulting from the termination of a website from its server.
